It wanted me to accept its call for it is the only thing that was left in the darkness for me. It wanted me to fill myself with hatred towards humanity and all that lives above the darkest reach of the ocean. It wanted me to destroy everything and justify my actions as an act of vengeance towards the fact that they had вЂњbetrayedвЂќ me after my service was done. It wanted me to rise up once more in order to sow terror into the hearts of those that were responsible for my creation. These monsters are not just made of metal and powered with hatred. The transport shipsвЂ¦ oh GodвЂ¦ the transport shipsвЂ¦ Their planes hunt down aircrafts, whether military or civilian and force them to crash into the ocean. Manslaughters were inflicted upon isolated islands thanks to their battleships shelling them without impunity. Each cry of help was silenced as their submarines and destroyers sink their ships and gun down the ones on lifeboats and rafts. When I answered to the call, I was forced to witness atrocities after atrocities done by these monsters in the shadows.

Many had regretted their choice as they are turned into puppets.

Many had been driven so mad by their actions that all they can do is to scream for salvation or swift death. Many had lost their sanity in the process. вЂњCOME.вЂќ the voice echoed as I float in the void and saw a red light shine like a star from afar. All of it was done for the sake of a dark voice that only told us one word: Scouting, building, probing and silently waiting for the right time to strike down the surface dwellers. They lurked the oceans and used the cover of darkness and confusion to cause multiple incidents involving missing ships and planes. The eldritch beings that ranges from hulking monstrosities to anthropomorphic beings accompanied by the former had once been a whisper to the few who managed to catch a glimpse on their silhouettes. I don't see these Lagaan-type mechs being the strongest by any stretch, but in the context of this story they would probably be more like the durable workhorse of the arsenal and balanced around sustained combat as opposed to the stuff Grey's using now, which is more powerful but appears to be balanced by having lengthy cooldowns for all its fancier toys, potentially leaving it vulnerable to counter-attack should the enemy be willing to throw troops at it for that long.ДЄcross the globe, the Abyssal Fleet raged across the seas. Unless the landscape consists of the dead remains of a star, but that's not likely in this setting. I don't necessarily see these things out-classing the not!Metal Gear Ray included in the mod, for example, seeing as that thing can cleave through the landscape like a hot knife through butter. (Much like auto-turrets, to my eternal annoyance.) Even if they were functionally indestructible in turn. Granted, it doesn't exactly help that the older beta mechs were ultimately underwhelming if not fun to use just because they only really had a (relatively-sized) pea shooter to work with that didn't exactly survive Starbound's damage scaling revamp.

The Mech mod kinda goes over the top in my personal opinion, handing you what is perhaps more firepower than most would really know what to do with (unless you plan to tackle the Ruin,) although in this story the extra firepower is understandably necessary.
